10 Things That Women Should Proudly Do And Not Be Ashamed Of

When the world today is having a large scale and imperative discussion on Feminism and Women Empowerment, the real problem is latched onto the very core of our society. This sticky problem and its consequences will take a lot of time to vanish forever but Change is definitely here! While we have conversations as fundamental as “How to treat a woman?” or “She should not be afraid of going out at any point of time”, women themselves should proudly be the way they are. The time we as women feel ashamed of basic things that men casually do is the…Continue Reading

17 Poems On Love, Loss And Survival That You Should Read If You Feel Broken

There are moments in life that leave you feeling completely and utterly broken. You know, moments when you feel like you’re walking on broken glass, like every step is fragile and painful. And then there are moments where you feel lighter than a feather, wrapped up in love and happiness. The brokenness you live through to get to the happiness – that, my friend, is survival. And I never quite understood that until I came across Caroline White’s poetry. See, Caroline lived through depression and went on to turn it into art; into words that speak to people across countries.…Continue Reading

10 Things A Shy Person Will Never Say Out Loud To The World

Being shy is difficult. There are so many emotions inside that you can’t play out. And that gives the world a chance to assume things about you. Here are a few things I want to tell the world as a shy person. The blatant, honest truth. Just because I don’t speak a lot, doesn’t mean I don’t know what’s right and wrong. My silence does not mean I’m naive or unsure of myself. I am not stuck up, neither am I “b*tchy”. I just take time to open up. Being “shy” is not a community. We are all different people…Continue Reading

23 Things You Should Start Doing This Year – For Yourself.

I was listening to this really cool jazz-hop chill mix as I took an early morning walk yesterday (No, it wasn’t my New Year’s resolution, if you were wondering). And smack in the middle of the track popped in a sentence, ‘I’ll let you in a on a secret. Give yourself a present, every single day. Don’t plan it. Don’t think too much about it. And it does not have to be expensive. It could be that new, soft shirt or just a cup of perfect black coffee.” I smiled super wide. This was super cool life advice. I was…Continue Reading

More Than Just A Beautiful Face: 10 Things I Want Every Woman To Be

You’re more. You’re more than a person people want to look at. You’re more than just a woman who sits alone listening to her man. You’re more than they will ever want you to be. Be financially independent. I cannot stress this enough, it’s the easiest way to be free, self-sufficient. Follow your dreams, before you give up on them. Give them one true chance, work for them at least once before you give up. We’ve been raised to believe we are made for sacrifices, let go of that. Also, voice your opinions. No one, no one is going to…Continue Reading

How My Worst Breakup Taught Me Life’s Most Important Lessons

I won’t lie. I wouldn’t want to relive the first half of 2016. It was the worst blow my heart’s taken in a long time, but to be honest if I was given a choice to erase that year out of my existence, I wouldn’t. Because no matter how messed up the first half of it had been, it was one of my favorite years in the almost-30 stint I am heading towards. I am assuming we’ve all been through a breakup that’s opened a gap within the center of our chests with constant pain spilling out. And mine was…Continue Reading

Why We Must Take A Moment And Feel Proud Of What India Is Doing Right: Thank You ISRO

As a fellow Indian, I’m so proud of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for launching Cartosat-2 and 19 other satellites in the space today, that entered the space orbit in 26 minutes followed by the launch. Such a proud moment for all of us! However, this hasn’t been their first accomplishment. Well, ISRO has accomplished more in the recent past, especially in this decade. What ISRO has been able to achieve so far is remarkable indeed but, how they managed to accomplish it is extremely interesting. In 2013, ISRO accomplished the Mangalyan mission with a budget of $74 million. Which…Continue Reading
